My Athlete came to Onsharp with a vision in mind. They wanted to build a mobile and web-based application to support My Athlete’s business model that would provide lasting memories to families in the form of images, videos, and live streaming of youth sporting events. The goal of the application was to help parents attending youth sporting events focus on their child rather than having to be occupied with taking photos and videos. Meanwhile, parents or other family members who could not attend the games would have the ability to engage in a live stream. Once youth sporting events were finished, My Athlete wanted users to have the ability to purchase high quality images and videos of their kids in action.
Onsharp and My Athlete kicked off the project by engaging in a formal discovery and architecture process. Once they had their goals set, the teams began to collaboratively craft the appropriate blueprint and set of requirements for development of the mobile application. The developers at Onsharp worked to attain My Athlete’s goals of performance, user experience, reliability, and scalability which ultimately lead to a successful mobile application.
The partnership between Onsharp and My Athlete resulted in a user-friendly application system for not only the individuals providing the content, but also for system admins and consumers. The outcome of this project included the following:
- An administration site for My Athlete employees to use to manage events and content producers.
- A secure site for event organizers and content producers to use to easily manage and provide event content.
- A mobile application that allows users to easily sign up to live stream and purchase photos and videos from youth sporting events.
