A Built-In Shopping Cart
Lake Life Hospitality Group had websites for each of their restaurant locations in Detroit Lakes, MN, and they were ready to take those websites a step further. But how would they do it?
From the casual Zorbaz to their more upscale restaurant, The Fireside, Lake Life Hospitality’s restaurants have done a great job attracting all age groups within a 100 mile radius. To appeal to each age group and location, they decided that an online shopping portal for each location is what they needed. Once they decided their plan of action, their marketing director, Kelsey, reached out to the Onsharp Development team to implement their strategy.
Creating a Customized Shopping Experience
Together with Onsharp, they decided that e-commerce WordPress websites were needed. The Onsharp team moved forward to build an online store complete with filters for each location’s products, plus the capability to refine your search to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Each website was also equipped with WordPress plugins to make online payments easier. The Shippo plugin was also added to streamline order fulfillment and shipping. “Everything was straightforward, the process went really well, and we took recommendations to ensure the project’s success.” said Joe Hixson, Director of Development at Onsharp.
Seeing the Benefits
Prior to working with Onsharp, Lake Life Hospitality didn’t have an ecommerce option for any of their restaurant locations, but Onsharp helped change that. After calls, emails, and website trainings to equip the Lake Life Hospitality team with the tools they needed to run their websites, each location had a personalized shopping experience for their customers. They saw results soon after, too. Before a week had passed, 50 orders had already been processed.
