At Onsharp, we love seeing local companies, people, and groups taking part in the latest social media trends. To show our appreciation and love, we choose various social media accounts to highlight in our #HighFiveFriday series. These accounts may excel because they used the perfect hashtag, have an amazing online presence, or are just really good at interacting with followers on social.

For this week’s #HighFiveFriday, we’re featuring SG Reinertsen Elementary, also known on Twitter as @sgrspuds. Located in South Moorhead, Minnesota, SG Reinertsen Elementary is an elementary school for 750 students in grades K-4. Principal Josh St. Louis and Assistant Principal Tiffany Nagel have worked hard to establish a learning community for staff that includes common goals and a collaborative team. They ensure learning by using a results-oriented curriculum and instruction by creating a culture of respect, acceptance, and support for students in partnership with parents.  Keep reading to see why we love what they’re doing to foster this culture on Twitter!

They feature students who demonstrate good behavior. One of my favorite things Principal Josh St. Louis and Assistant Principal Tiffany Nagel do from the @sgrspuds account is recognizing students who are demonstrating positive behaviors. From working hard and being kind to making great choices and more, students are praised for their good behavior and encouraged to keep up the good work.

They share classroom and school happenings. Whether students are busy working in their classroom, having fun on break, or sledding on a field trip, @sgrspuds does a great job showing us what everyone is up to on a regular basis.

They celebrate their staff members. We’re lucky to have so many great teachers and school staff members all over the Fargo-Moorhead community, and @sgrspuds does an incredible job of recognizing theirs! Whether it’s someone’s birthday or they want to thank someone for their hard work, there’s no doubt that they love having their staff members around.

They keep up with current events. It can be a challenge to keep up with everything that’s going on when it comes to current events, but @sgrspuds has proven that they know what’s going on – and they make it fun!

Way to go, @sgrspuds! You’re doing an awesome job on Twitter, and we can’t wait to see how you continue to promote your school’s positive culture in your posts.
