At Onsharp, we love seeing local companies, people, and groups taking part in the latest social media trends. To show our appreciation and love, we choose one amazing social media account to highlight in our High Five Friday series. These accounts may excel because they used an awesome hashtag, have a stellar online presence, or are really good at interacting with their followers on social.

For this week’s #HighFiveFriday, we’re featuring @FMWFChamber’s Instagram account! The Chamber promotes economic growth and prosperity in business and for its members through leadership in advocacy, education, and engagement. While they are busy fulfilling their mission, they have done an excellent job engaging the community online. From creative boomerangs to giveaways to their followers, they are a role model for how an organization should run an Instagram account! Here’s what makes them stand out:

They value their followers
Showing followers you value their presence online is an important, oftentimes overlooked part of social media strategy. Not only does the Chamber host giveaways, they also post a follow up photo showing the recipient receiving their gift. This is a great way to show how much they value their followers while adding a personal touch to their account.

Congrats @mariorising for winning the Boulder Tap House gift card! Enjoy! #fmwfmembers #tgif

They also understand the importance of promoting user-generated content, shown through this repost from the West Acres Mall Instagram account:

They give us a look behind the scenes
Giving followers a behind the scenes look is a great way to add a personable reputation to an online profile. The Chamber shows us all of the work that goes into events, who their employees are, and what’s happening within the office.

They share the spotlight with the community
The Chamber is all about the community of Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo and they let that show through their account. By giving shout outs to different organizations in the area, they do a great job of to showing thanks online.
