At Onsharp, we love seeing local companies, people, and groups taking part in the latest social media trends. To show our appreciation and love, we choose various social media accounts to highlight in our #HighFiveFriday series. These accounts may excel because they used the perfect hashtag, have an amazing online presence, or are just really good at interacting with followers on social.

For this week’s #HighFiveFriday, we’re featuring the @WestFargoPolice. The West Fargo Police Department has a team that has helped the population of West Fargo grow from 5,000 to approximately 33,000 since 1968. Their mission is to protect life and property, and enhance the quality of life for all of their citizens. It’s evident that the department is proud of what they do and whom they serve, particularly through how they use their Twitter account. Keep reading to see why we love what they’re doing to connect on social media.

They encourage the community to get to know them.

Whether it’s #CoffeeWithACop, a K9 Unit Meet and Greet, education opportunities and more, @WestFargoPolice does a great job promoting activities for the general public to get involved with so they can get to know members of the department on a more personal level.

They keep the community informed.

By asking for help identifying subjects, posting warrants for arrest, or sharing general safety PSAs, @WestFargoPolice makes sure the community is aware of their surroundings – and the people in them – so they can stay as safe as possible.

They show their pride in serving the City of West Fargo.

Whether they volunteer at a senior living center or thank citizens for what they do, there’s no doubt that this department is proud of their community and that they love making a positive difference.

Way to go, @WestFargoPolice! We appreciate all you do to serve the City of West Fargo, and we look forward to watching you continue to make an impact in the community. Keep up the good work!
