Challenges
College Nannies & Tutors was experiencing difficulty managing nanny and family
information because their paper-based system did not allow them to effectively
search and match the right family and nanny together. After researching and trying
out several off the shelf software systems, they quickly realized that a customized
solution that truly complimented their unique business model was necessary in order to
build a successful business and franchise model. The system would need to be scalable
and allow for the possibility of up to 50 franchise units accessing one central system
within the next 4-6 years.
Solutions
Onsharp created a group of web-based systems that all tied seamlessly into one database,
allowing nannies and tutors to apply online and make the data instantly available within
that system. The core system, called CNeT, allows internal employees to manage all information
related to nannies, tutors, families, and their placements. The Family Resource Center allows
families to review timesheets that have been entered by their nanny or tutor and update their
personal information. The Nanny/Tutor Resource Center allows nannies and tutors to fill out
timesheets online, manage their profile, and apply for open positions. Lastly, the Franchisor
System allows employees of the franchise company to manage all information related to existing
franchises, their office locations, statistics and reports, and potential new franchises.
Results
College Nannies & Tutors has expanded to 32 offices in 16 states and their web-based management
system remains as the core of the entire business. All new nanny and tutor applications and family
inquiries come into the system from their public website, eliminating the need for paper applications.
All timesheets are entered by the nannies and tutors and approved by the family online, providing
greater accuracy and efficiency in billing. All system changes are made in once central location
and rolled out to all franchises without the need for IT support within each office.

Challenges
Goodwell & Company was about to launch a new line of home and body products named
Daub & Bauble and needed an elegant website to show off their unique new product offerings.
Since Daub & Bauble is as passionate about what is happening on the outside of their bottles
as they are about the inside, their website would need to reflect their dedication to putting
creative design at the center of their philosophy.
Solutions
The Onsharp design team worked together to create a website that illustrated the client’s
passion for designs that are inspired by the patterns and cycles of nature. Onsharp also
created a content management system to allow the client to manage store locations,
newsletter subscribers, wholesalers, and wholesaler orders. A wholesaler system was
created to allow them to go online and place orders for new product that would be
immediately sent to Daub & Bauble for fulfillment.
Results
A professional website that illustrates the client’s focus on creative design. The
ability to submit orders online allows wholesalers to receive new product shipments
faster. The ability to manage website content allows Daub & Bauble to minimize their
website maintenance costs.

Challenges
Merwin Home Medical was looking to branch out into online sales but
did not have the internal staff in order to create a website that would
allow them to sell their home medical equipment products online. They
wanted their customers in the area to be able to place orders through
their website and have them shipped to their home without having to come
into their store and pick up the product. Since Merwin Home Medical’s entire
inventory was located in another web-based system, a facility would need to be
created that would allow them to update product information and prices on their
website on a regular basis without requiring additional staffing for data entry.
Solutions
Onsharp created a fully functional ecommerce website that allows website visitors
to browse products in several categories, add items to their cart, and check out online.
Onsharp also created an import program that allows them to import updated product
information that was exported from their main inventory management system in order
to keep product information and prices current on their website without a high level
of employee intervention. Onsharp also created a backend management system that allows
Merwin Home Medical to manage all website content, product information, order information, and order statistics.
Results
Greater product visibility by allowing customers to shop online rather than coming
into their store. An increase in the number of out-of-state sales because customers
were now finding their products online without ever having gone to their physical store.
Increased customer satisfaction by allowing customers to browse products and place orders
online 24 hours a day.
