Onsharp began in July of 2000 with 2 college interns struggling to find a way to share their passion and creativity for web-based technology. Initially focused on strengthening education through technology, founders Joe Sandin and Matt Hardy received several projects with local and national universities including the University of Minnesota, St. Thomas, Augsburg, Macalester, and the University of Alabama. Both Sandin and Hardy quickly realized that the web was an extraordinary communication tool that both universities and small businesses would need to leverage in order to remain competitive in a rapidly changing business landscape.

In the spring of 2003, Sandin continued the business and moved its base to Fargo, ND. Over the next three years, business continued to increase as small businesses came to rely on the web more and more as a channel for sales, communications, and operational efficiency. Onsharp expanded its service offerings to include web strategy, secure web hosting, spam filtering, search engine strategy, and online marketing. Onsharp hired its first full-time developer in June of 2007 and its second in November.

Today, Onsharp is a fast growing company with energy, passion and determination for web-based solutions that help small businesses realize their full web potential. Our clients include successful small businesses in the industries of staffing, education, home improvement, manufacturing and service. Since moving to Fargo, Onsharp has continued to expand its client base in the Twin Cities area while also bringing in several new clients in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
