Merwin Home Medical was looking to branch out into online sales but did not have the internal staff in order to create a website that would allow them to sell their home medical equipment products online. They wanted their customers in the area to be able to place orders through their website and have them shipped to their home without having to come into their store and pick up the product. Since Merwin Home Medical’s entire inventory was located in another web-based system, a facility would need to be created that would allow them to update product information and prices on their website on a regular basis without requiring additional staffing for data entry.

Onsharp created a fully functional ecommerce website that allows website visitors to browse products in several categories, add items to their cart, and check out online. Onsharp also created an import program that allows them to import updated product information that was exported from their main inventory management system in order to keep product information and prices current on their website without a high level of employee intervention. Onsharp also created a backend management system that allows Merwin Home Medical to manage all website content, product information, order information, and order statistics.

Greater product visibility by allowing customers to shop online rather than coming into their store. An increase in the number of out-of-state sales because customers were now finding their products online without ever having gone to their physical store. Increased customer satisfaction by allowing customers to browse products and place orders online 24 hours a day.
